In addition to a dormitory for schoolgirls in Istimina and students in Quibdo, Casa Hogar has also been supporting a women’s shelter since 2022. As “multipliers”, the women and girls carry their knowledge and self-confidence back to their home communities, which is essential for sustainable change in the education and social system in Choco!
And the biggest project to date is already in the pipeline: a children’s village with a meeting and residential facility in Istminia is being built. This means that even more people can be reached and living conditions improved. The Casa Hogar team continues to work steadily on the realization and is confident that they will be able to secure the financing that has not yet been completed… You can support the construction of the children’s village with a specific donation, e.g. 150 euros for a bunk bed for two girls.
